As a parent, you are entitled to use your TV remote and put a password on some of these TV channels that are rated 18 by the stations.

This will restrict your child from having access to these contents whenever they use the remote to search for channels.

It May Contain Obscene Contents

If the TV stations have rated the program 18, it may contain some obscene contents that may not do any good to your children.

That is why it is rated 18. Viewers under the age of 18 should not watch it. They should only be watching programs that will educate them.

An adult is permitted to watch the program because they can judge between what's right or wrong, but children cannot.

It May Put Fear In Them 

When a TV program is rated 18, that means it contains some violent scenes that might be inappropriate for children to watch.

Some of these violent scenes can instill fear in little children, and they might start finding it difficult to stay alone in the room or in the dark.

So once a TV program is rated 18, don't allow your children to watch it.
