Constipation involves difficulty in emptying the bowel. It is characterized by hardened feces. Most people deal with this issue, and several factors, such as inactivity or dehydration, could lead to it.

Pregnant women, in particular, suffer from constipation, and it is estimated that 50 to 60 percent of women when they are pregnant will have to deal with constipation, which can be annoying and borderline uncomfortable. It is a very troublesome issue. It is very natural for women who are pregnant to deal with constipation and acidity. 



An increase in progesterone, one of the hormones in women, is one of the reasons for constipation. This hormone is responsible for relaxing the muscles in your digestive tract. The effect of an increase in this hormone may result in food being processed more slowly in your body. Later in pregnancy, your growing baby puts more pressure on your rectum and slows your bowels. 

Below are 2 tips to relieve constipation in pregnant women.

Eat Fiber-eat high-fiber foods. Try to eat meals that are richer in fiber, like whole-grain cereals, beans, fresh fruits, and vegetables. Also, there is a high chance that your bowels may be active after a meal, so make time to use the restroom after eating.

Drink water-drink as much water as possible. Make sure you stay hydrated, as this may also help with it.

Exercise-any form of physical activity that is suitable for your condition can also be helpful.
