Turmeric can also be used to manage conjunctivitis at home. In a cup of boiling water add two tablespoons of turmeric powder and apply the mixture to your eyelids with a washcloth or cotton swabs.

2 Apply a warm or cold compress

Applying a warm or cold compress on your eyes can help reduce inflammation and improve blood circulation. However, you must maintain hygiene and ensure that no one touches the used compress as they may become infected.

3 Rosewater

To clean your eyes and remove any particles or irritants, use rosewater in the form of restorative eye drops. Rosewater also has a calming and cooling effect on the eyes that can help reduce inflammation in your eyes.

4 Aloevera gel

Aloevera aids in the reduction of inflammation. Apply a small amount of aloevera gel on your eyelids and leave it on for a few minutes will help reduce itching and swelling around them.
