On The Morning Show, following the breastfeeding week which begun on the 1st of August and ended on the 7th of August. Honorable Peace Nnaji the commissioner of gender affairs in Enugu State has urged mothers to reserve their breast milk for their babies and not their husbands. The commissioner who stated this in a remark at the UNICEF media dialogue said it is wrong for men to share their wife's breast milk. The commissioner urged mothers to practice exclusive breast feeding as well for their babies for at least the first six months after their birth because of the numerous benefits.
Honorable Peace Nnaji also expressed her displeasure with some musicians who release albums that tend to tease sag breast. Arguing that if a woman's breast is flat, it is as a result of the fact that she has breast fed.
This conversation touches on many things, one of which is body shaming.
There seems to be a conflict of interest here between the people who wants mothers to exclusively breastfeed their babies, and the men who insist they have just as much right.
