It is the joy of every woman to get pregnant and deliver safely but the increasing rate of miscarriages which lead to psychological trauma for this ladies is alarming.

What is pregnancy?

Pregnancy occurs when a sperm fertilizes an egg after it’s released from the ovary during ovulation. The fertilized egg then travels down into the uterus, where implantation occurs. A successful implantation results in pregnancy.

What is miscarriage?

Miscarriage or spontaneous abortion is an event that results in the loss of the fetus before the 20th week of conception. the major causes of miscarriages has been traced to infections, bad nutrition like the consumption of alcohol and smoking and sometimes series of abortion which makes the womb weak to carry a child.

The following are 3 things that reduces the high risk of miscarriages and makes your baby healthier.

1. Nutrition

There are certain foods which when taken either reduces or increases your risk of it is important as a pregnant woman that you eat or have the proper diet to make the child healthier and good.

Study as also shown that a diet rich in vegetables,fruits and whole grains can lower your risk of pregnancy is recommended you take a lot of fruits,vegetables and quit smoking, drinking and drugs.

2. Stress

The woman being in the right mood, staying relaxed may also help the health of your pregnancy. It is important she avoids all kinds of psychological or emotional trauma that will make her unsettled and stressed out . so it is advisable that her activities in the house are reduced or probably stopped until she puts to bed. she needs to be happy always because this has an effect on the baby and it is important that she is given adequate care and attention at that moment.

3. Exercise

At this stage it is not the right time to continue your nomal exercise routine , once you're pregnant thats not the time to start training for your first marathon. The key is moderation and contact sports are to be avoided because they pose a high risk of a fall or injury which could harm the pregnancy. It is also important you rest,sleep well and avoid thinking because they pose a threat to miscarriage.
