'Never Seen Before Turtle' Shocks Residents In India

Residents of Sujanpur village in Soro block of Balasore district in India, have handed over a yellow turtle which was spotted in their vicinity to the Indian Forest Services (IFS) Officials.
According sources the rare turtle was rescued on Sunday by the villagers, who then called the Forest Department Officials and handed the turtle over to them.
Susanta Nanda, a senior member of the IFS said the turtle was probably an albino, "A reared yellow turtle was spotted & rescued in Balasore, Odisha yesterday.
" Most probably an albino. One such aberration was recorded by locals in Sindh few years back."


Wildlife Warden, Bhanoomitra Acharya described the turtle as unique, as he had never seen a specie like that before.
"The whole shell and the body of the rescued turtle is yellow. This is a rare turtle, I have never seen one like this," Acharya said.
