The Special Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on Political Affairs, Babafemi Ojudu, has said Chief Femi Fani-Kayode is the only person who has accused President Muhammadu Buhari of being a fraud. Babafemi made his claim while speaking concerning the President during an interview on TVC News.
You may recall that Femi Fani-Kayode recently joined the All Progressives Congress (APC). The former Nigerian minister had left the People's Democratic Party (PDP) to join the APC. The development has since been trailed by mixed reactions from within and outside the political party.
Speaking concerning President Buhari, Babafemi Ojudu said, "No member of our party will publicly insult President Muhammadu Buhari. That is why I describe the day Fani-Kayode Joined our party as a sad day. Fani-Kayode is the only person who has accused President Buhari of being a fraud. Nobody has accused President Buhari of dishonesty in the course of his career. We respect our leaders in APC."
Babafemi gave his opinion on cross-carpeting by saying, "The idea of cross-carpeting does not encourage democracy. The idea of jumping like a grasshopper from one party to another gives the wrong direction to young people that it pays not to have principles or hold the truth as an ideal. Yesterday, you based the political party and called the President unprintable names, and today you are singing his praises. Is it just about seeking greener pastures? A political party is an association of individuals who come together based on their belief in similar ideals and ideas."
