An Open Letter To Hon. Emeka Ihedioha, The Former Governor Of Imo State[Opinion]

Dear sir,

I hope that this letter meets you well. I write in view of the political situation in Imo State. However, I must first and foremost, commend the maturity you displayed during your trying moments in Imo State.

I recall that many Imolites, expected you to have spearheaded protests and granted numerous interviews, but to the surprise of many and to the shame of naysayers, you did none of these. Instead, you asked the people(your supporters) to obey the law, as your leadership was for the betterment of Imo State and Imolites, as a whole. I truly respect your display of maturity. Your numerous good works in Imo State, will never be taken for granted.

As regards the recent political happenings in Imo State, rumours about you forming an alliance with some former 'enemies', have rent the air. However, the good people of Imo State have chosen to disregard such information and we strongly believe that the July 20, Federal High Court decision should favour you.

However, I ask that you do not react negatively, regardless of the outcome of the judgement. We believe that you are a man of principle and that is why many Imolites love you and still feel grieved at your loss. That nothwitsanding, we believe that you hold the best interest of the Imolites, very close to your heart, hence, continue to discourage any form of violence on the part of your supporters.

We pray for Justice and Peace in Imo State.

God bless Imo State.
