Niger Delta Development Commission was established by the Federal government of Nígeria to oversee the of development of Niger Delta areas which is the oil producing States which comprises of Imo, Abia, Ondo, Edo, Rivers, Akwa Ibom and some other states.
It was established to construct Roads, Schools, provide health care facilities, provide clean portable water and infrastructures to the people of this region but of late there has been some public out cry concerning this government established Commission because of the issue of corruption going on in the commission.
The Niger Delta people is not enjoying the main primary purpose of establishing the commission because of corruption.
Furthermore, Recently the President ordered a forensic audit of the commission to ascertain how huge money been budgeted to the commission is being spent every year.
Corruption has eaten deep into our society and everyone must put his or her hands on the deck to stop this pandamic called corruption before it destroy our nation Nigeria.
