Lagos APC appoints more politicians into powerful advisory council

The ruling All Progressive Congress In Lagos State has expanded its membership of the Governor's Advisory Council, GAC, to accommodate more members, as the party prepares for the forthcoming local government elections in the state.

The group which has been in the firm grip of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu had to create room to accommodate the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Honourable Femi Gbajabiamila, and the three senators representing Lagos Central, West and East Senatorial districts in the persons of Chief Mrs. Oluremi Tinubu, Solomon Adeola (Yayi) and Tokunbo Abiru.

The new additions would now be able to attend high-level meetings that have to do with the growth and development of Lagos state.

The Lagos APC's Governor's Advisory Council (GAC) is the highest decision making body in Lagos that comprises of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Deputy Governor, Obafemi Hamza, and Minister for Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola. Others are Cardinal James Odunmbaku, Otunba Bashiru Alebiosu, Prince Tajudeen Olusi, Prince Abiodun Ogunleye, Senator Anthony Adefuye, Otunba Henry Ajomale, Alhaji S.A Seriki, Omooba Murphy Adetoro and Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Bashorun.
