Alhassan Doguwa, the majority leader of the House of Representatives, has denied accusations that he has a volatile temper.
According to Naija News, the congressman who announced his ambition to serve as the Speaker of the 10th House of Representatives stated in an interview on Wednesday in Abuja that those who thought he was a guy with a strong temper had misunderstood him.
The congressman emphasized that although he is a low-level individual, with four wives and 28 children, he has the temperament to serve as speaker of the House of Representatives.
In his own words, Doguwa, "I am a low-level Nigerian and I will always show myself as such. I want to emphasize, in my opinion and in accordance with my standards, that individuals who describe me as being excessively volatile are mistaken about who I am.
"I've never divorced anyone," the man who lives with four women and 28 children said. Only a false impression was formed.
If somebody of my disposition or social rank thinks otherwise, it can only be a case of oversight, misinterpretation, or improper comprehension.
Doguwa said he didn't want to say too much about the alleged murder case against him because it was already in court.
