Lessons We Can Learn From Tunde Bakere's Visit To President Muhammadu Buhari

It was reported that pastor Tunde Bakare, the founder of Citadel Global Community Church, formerly known as latter Rain Assembly, paid a visit to president Muhammadu Buhari on Friday in the presidential villa in Aso rock. Despite the fact that he never revealed what his meeting agenda with president Muhammadu Buhari was, he however, released a statement after the visit where he revealed his intentions of running for the 2023 presidential elections, by saying that he would contest if God and Nigerians ask him to. However, there are lessons we all can learn from Tunde Bakare's visit to president Muhammadu Buhari after he vowed not to visit the president again.1. In politics there is no foe or enemy.

In politics there is no long term foe, they might be quarrelling with this opponent today, and tomorrow they might become the best of friends. The only people that carry politics at heart are their supporters. We should imitate Bakare by trying to be at peace with all despite differing political parties.2. Bakare kept his differences with the president aside, and considered the unity of Nigeria to be of utmost importance.

Despite vowing never to visit the president again, 82 days later, he was seen paying a visit to the president, because he knows that the unity of the nation is one that should never be played with. We all can do better by keeping our differences aside and woke for the betterment of the country.
