As the governorship election in Ondo State draws closer, there are some assuring words from prominent Nigerians with regards to which party will emerge victoriously.
The former Vice President of the Senate, Dr. Ike Ekweremadu has assured the PDP faithfuls that the party will defeat the APC and all other parties in the governorship elections come October, 10th.
He made this statement yesterday according to Punch Newspaper during delegate elections which were held across the 18 local government areas of Ondo State in which he Ekweremadu monitored.
He said the PDP has settled whatever differences they had and will surely dislodge the APC in the governorship elections.
The Ondo State governorship election will be tightly contested between the Incumbent Governor and Incumbent Deputy Governor and with this latest assurance from Ekweremadu then we are surely expecting fireworks.
Recall that the deputy governor Agboola Ajayi decamped from the APC to the PDP in other to pick the party ticket and contest against his boss, His Excellency Rotimi Akeredolu and since then there have been great and serious moves to impeach him.
Surely the power tussle will be intense and we hope the best man wins.
