A support group of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nasarawa West of Nasarawa State has dumped Governor Abdullahi Sule and declared support for the gubernatorial candidate of the New Nigeria People's Party (NNPP).
The group known as APC Progressive Youths made this known on Tuesday in a statement issued by its leader, Murtala Isa Alhassan following a crucial meeting held on Monday March 13 in Keffi.
Alhassan accused Governor Sule who is seeking a second term of marginalizing western zone in the implementation of capital projects.
“This situation is more pronounced in Karu, Kokona and Toto LGs where there is nothing tangible to show that there is any government presence,” he lamented.
The decision he added was as a result of careful consideration of the issues that are bedeviling the state and who is better poised to bring the state back on track.
Meanwhile, major opposition parties in the State are in talks to form alliance and wrest power from the governing All Progressives Congress (APC) in the gubernatorial election scheduled for March 18.
