CBN Sets Date For MPC Meeting
The Central Bank of Nigeria has announced its Monetary Policy Committee meeting would be held on March 20 and 21, 2023.
The two-day meeting, according to the apex bank, would be held in Abuja.

Sanwo-Olu’s Visit To Oyedepo Not Political —Aide
Gboyega Akosile, the Chief Press Secretary to the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has said that his principal’s visit to the founder of the Living Faith Church Worldwide, also known as Winners’ Chapel, Bishop David Oyedepo, has nothing to do with politics.

Sanwo-Olu had shared a picture of himself and Oyedepo on his verified Twitter page on Tuesday with the caption that read, “Yesterday was indeed a memorable day as I met with a man after God’s own heart, a man who has dedicated his life to the service of God and mankind. Bishop David Oyedepo, founder of the Living Faith Church Worldwide (Winners Chapel) and presiding Bishop of the Faith Tabernacle in Ota, Ogun State.”
This sparked reactions from some Nigerians who claimed that the governor has been going from one church to another in a desperate bid to get votes ahead of Saturday’s election.

The Nigeria Police has recovered 182 illicit arms and 430 ammunitions of various calibres across the nation in its efforts to tackle crimes.

The Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday, saying the arms will be handed over to the National Centre for the Control of Small Arms and Light Weapons (NCCSALW).
He said the Inspector General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba, ordered all Commands and Formations to intensify efforts towards decimating the proliferation of illicit arms and ammunition in the country.
