INEC declares PDP candidate, Ebisike, winner of Abia North/South by- election

UMUAHIA-The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has pronounced the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Mr. Chimaobi Ebisike, the winner of the Aba North/Aba South Federal Constituency by-political decision, led, yesterday, in Aba. 

Pronouncing the outcome at the Constitution Crescent elementary school collation centre, Aba, Returning Officer for the supporters, Professor Fidelis Okpata of the Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu Alike, Ebonyi State, revealed that Ebisike surveyed 10,322 votes to crush the All Progressives Congress, APC, competitor, Mascot Uzor Kalu who got 3,674 votes. 

The candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, Destiny Nwagwu, surveyed 1, 554, while Okey Prestige of the Action Alliance applicant, AA, scored 199 votes. Competitors of the APM and NRM scored 10 and 13 votes, separately. 

Be that as it may, the survey was defaced by elector disregard on the whole the 24 wards of the government supporters as most citizens remained away. 

With the exception of the blast at the Umuola Hall, ward 8, Aba North board and the capture of the examination official for the APC in Aba North, Engr. Mike Ozoemena, the survey was quiet as electing materials showed up before the expected time as 8.30am in most surveying units.
