Senate President Ahmad Lawan has called the attention of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to be constitutional as we approach Governorship and State Houses of Assembly election day.

Lawan said: “I think INEC should consider looking into issues raised by the public. INEC should be strictly guided by the Constitution and the Electoral Act and their guidelines and regulations.

Following the due process in the forthcoming elections will give people a good impression as they will be exercising their civil right in voting for who they want which I know now as a free and fair election.

The general public should put their hands together to support INEC to conduct the House of Assembly and governorship election freely without obstructing the process.
