The Defence Minister, Bashir Magashi has reacted to the alleged report that he called Nigeria's president elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu a drug lord. While reacting, he described the alleged report as false, noting that the report can only be traced to anti democratic forces.
The Minister of Defence made this disclosure in a statement that was released by his spokesperson, Mohammad Abdulkadri on Saturday, noting that some disgruntled elements are trying to drag his reputation and that of the nation’s military into disparaging Tinubu, Daily Post Nigeria reported.
Speaking further, Magashi condemned the fake news against him, noting that he is busy supervising the military in aid of civil authority to defend Nigeria’s democracy.
In addition, he made it known that no propaganda or blackmail targeted at his person and military will deter them from dealing with any person or group whose agenda is to disrupt the May 29 inauguration.
It should be recalled that it was alleged the Defence Minister, Bashir Magashi said that it's an insult to the Military to have a known drug lord as C-in-C of the Armed Forces of Nigeria. Going with this particular statement that he made, Nigerians now know the truth.
