Can APC truly be in power for 50 years as wished by Senator Ali Modu Sheriff?

I don't think the ruling party can be in power for 50 years because politics is all about interest. Many politicians always want to defect to a party that will ensure their victory in election and the aggrieved members will always want to create another platform to contest election.

Recall that the former ruling party, the People's Democratic Party once claimed that they will rule Nigeria for the next 60 years but could only rule for 16 years before the All Progressive Congress took over.

Many APC members who claimed that the party will be in power for 50 years can defect few years to come. Recall that former National chairman of PDP, Vincent Ogbulafor once claimed that PDP will rule for 60 years but later defected to APC in 2015.

The ruling All Progressive Congress can not rule for 50 years because most of those who wish the political platform will be in power for 50 years would have defected to another party when political conflicts ensue.
