The Nigerian president, Muhammadu Buhari, sends His Goodwill Message to Saudi King, King Salman.
President Muhammadu Buhari, via his official twitter account, expressed his goodwill to the Saudi King. Wishing him speedy and full recovery. Below is the tweet by the President Muhammadu Buhari
"On behalf of myself, the government and people of Nigeria, I pray for speedy and full recovery of the Saudi King, and Custodian of the two Holy Mosques, King Salman Bin Abdulaziz, one of the finest leaders I have ever met in the course of my interactions with world leaders."
He went further to commend the king saying, "King Salman is a true friend of Nigeria who has never failed to identify with us at all times through important collaborations and cooperation. As he receives medical attention, I send my best wishes and prayers for his speedy recovery."
While this gesture is expected of the president (to fellow leaders across the globe), most especially with countries we have bilateral agreements with, some Nigerians were quick to express their displeasure on the action of the president.
Here are some of the reactions of Nigerians
I feel Nigerians should be more civil in their criticism, rather than insulting. No good thing will suffice when you do present your case well. You spoil things the more, when right channels and due process are not followed.
