As seen in the photos shared by Joe Igbokwe, hordes of Ebonyi state indigenes despite the imposed lockdown order set by the Indigenous People of Biafra(IPOB) in all Southeastern states, trooped out in numbers into the streets and put on a colourful and vibrant display of patriotism.
Some of the indigenes as seen in the photos donned the colours of the national flag and carried independence theme placards in a touching display of unity and harmony as Nigeria celebrated her independence.
Coincidentally, the Ebonyi state indigenes celebrated the country’s independence day as their state also celebrated 25 years of its creation.
