It may be somehow difficult for the Ruling Party, All Progressives Congress to hijack Power from the Peoples Democratic party PDP in the southsouth of the country. It should be recalled that since the inception of Democracy in 1999. The Peoples Democratic party PDP has been rulling both the southsouth and the southeast since 1999 and no other Parties have been able to hijack Power from the PDP.

President Olusegun Obasanjo who happened to be the first President when Democracy returned to the country get the total support from both the southsouth and the southeast. President Olusegun Obasanjo was the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria between 1999 and 2007 and the The People of southsouth and and southeast supported him wholeheartedly.

The Peoples Democratic party PDP in the southsouth and southeast of the country are the People of high calibre. This is the most reason why it will be difficult for the APC to wrestle Power from the Peoples Democratic party in the Southsouth and southeast. Though some of the PDP Members have defected to the All Progressives Congress APC in southeast and this is the reason the APC has taken over some of the states in the southeast.

But none of those Leaders in the Southsouth have been able to defect to the APC and this is why is going to be difficult for the APC in the Southsouth to wrestle Power from the PDP. If some of the eminent Personalities in the Party still remain there, PDP will continue to rule the nation. The Peoples Democratic party PDP will continue relevant in the Southsouth if those Leaders are still in the party.

Taking Power From The PDP In Southsouth May Be Difficult For APC

In as much some notable Leaders in the Southsouth still remain in the Peoples Democratic party PDP then the APC can't hijack power from the PDP southsouth. If the likes of Governor of Rivers State, Governor Nyesome Wike still remain in the Peoples Democratic party PDP then APC should forget taking power from the PDP.

There are some other PDP Governors who are also very active in the southsouth. The Governor of Edo state, Godwin Obaseki, The APC made a great mistake by allowing Governor Obaseki to have dump the Party for the Peoples Democratic party PDP. Those are the Leaders who have made the Peoples Democratic party PDP to continue relevant.

If the Peoples Democratic party PDP couldn't lose the Governor of Rivers State, Governor Wike and the Governor of Edo state, Godwin Obaseki. If these two leaders should remain with the PDP in the southsouth then the it will be difficult for the APC to win in the southsouth.
