Kwankwaso Left Over N50bn Liability For Road Project - Ganduje

The Kano State Government has said that the administration of former Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso left a liability of over N54 billion for five kilometers of road projects across the 44 Local Government Areas of the state.

The state commissioner for information, Malam Muhammad Garba, stated this in a statement issued on Sunday to newsmen on the outcome of the state Executive Council Meeting.

Attacks In South-East Worst Igbo Challenge Since Civil War - Uzodimma

Hope Uzodimma, governor of Imo, says recent attacks in the South-East constitute the worst challenge faced by the Igbo since the civil war.

He said this at the South-East security summit, which held in Owerri, Imo State capital, in Sunday.

The civil war, which occured between 1967 and 1970, resulted in loss of lives.

In recent times, there have been several attacks in the South-East region, leading to killings and invasion of security facilities.

The Humanitarian Coordinator of the United Nations Resident in Nigeria, Edward Kallon, in Sunday condemned Boko Haram Attack on humanitarian aid workers in Damasak town of Borno State.
