Atiku’s campaigner arrested with $500, 000 in Rivers

Amember of the House of Representatives and campaigner of Atiku Abubakar, Dr. Chinyere Igwe, has allegedly been arrested with $500,000 in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

Igwe, who represents Port Harcourt Federal Constituency 2, was nabbed on Friday during a stop and search operation along Aba Road.
Spokesperson of Rivers Police Command, Grace Iringe-Koko, who confirmed the arrest, said: “A statement on it will be released soon”.
Soldiers take over Ayade’s hometown

A day before the presidential election, a large number of armed soldiers have taken over Obudu Local Government Area of Cross River State, particularly the Obudu town where the state governor, Ben Ayade hails from.
They can be seen in strategic locations in complete battle gear and their Armoured personnel carriers.
Different other platoons are also stationed in other parts of Cross River North Senatorial District considered to be flashpoints of violence.

Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has revealed what he and others will do Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi if Asiwaju Bola Tinubu of the APC is declared winner of this weekend’s presidential election.
He said on his Twitter page late Thursday night that they would send Atiku back to Dubai and Obi’s running mate, Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed back to Mauritania.
He wrote: “After Asiwaju wins we will send Ibn Dubai back to Abu Dhabi, send Dati the Daft back to Mauritania and flush Peter the Pooh down the toilet.
Elections: Electronic Banking Channels To Remain Open – CBN

Ahead of tomorrow’s general election, and amidst the cash crunch in the country, some commercial banks as well as companies will be closing early today, Friday, February 24, 2023.
This is as the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) dispelled rumors that electronic banking transactions would not be available all through the weekend.
In email notices sent to customers, some banks said they would be closing for business by 12 noon on Friday as against 4pm which they normally close. Also, some companies had notified their customers that their physical offices will be closed to customers until after the elections.
Vote Labour Party Across Board –Ozigbo

Valentine Ozigbo, the Special Adviser to the Labour Party’s Presidential candidate, Mr Peter Obi, on Technology and Strategic Alliances, has charged the people of Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State to come out in high numbers to vote for all Labour Party candidates in Saturday’s general election.
Mr Ozigbo made the call on Thursday, February 23, 2023, at a town hall meeting for political leaders and stakeholders in Aguata LGA held at his country home in Amesi, Aguata LGA, where it was also announced that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Aguata has collapsed its structure into the Labour Party.
While addressing the large gathering, Ozigbo made a case for the Labour Party candidates for Chief Andy Azike, the party’s candidate for the Federal House of Representatives for Aguata Federal Constituency, and Chief Obinna Uzor, the party’s Senatorial Candidate for Anambra South Senatorial District.
