#BlackLivesMatter: See How Mayor Of Washington Honoured George Floyd In Death

The Mayor of Washington,Muriel Bowser has honoured the death of African-American, George Floyd in a special way.

The street in Washington DC, Capital of America leading to White House has been painted with big #BlackLivesMatter in commemoration of the death of George Floyd who died in the hand of American cop.

Protests has been going on for days in the streets of America by black Americans and concerned citizens to pass the message against racism in the country.

In a Twitter post on Friday to commemorate the birthday of Breonna Taylor, another black man, who died in the hands of police, Bowser said the act was out of determination to make America a great land.

She said, "Breonna Taylor, on your birthday, let us stand with determination. Determination to make America the land it ought to be."

The major also named the Plaza in the street "Black Lives Plaza" in the same gesture.
