The Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari has finally appointed a new Inspector General of Police. DIG Usman Alkali Baba will be serving as the new acting inspector general of police, he is to resume office with immediate effect.
This news was made known by the Maigari Dingyadi who is the Minister of Police Affairs, this afternoon in Abuja.
The news was also verified by Bashir Ahmad who is the personal assistant on news media to President Buhari on his Twitter hand not long ago.
See the post below.
The immediate replacement came after the IGP Mohammed Adamu arrived Imo state police command together with the correctional Center in Owerri to inspect the level of damages caused by the gunmen.
Muhammed Adamu gave out orders to all police operatives to be ruthless and not to have mercy on members of the IPOB, he made this known during the visit.
After yesterday’s attack, IPOB denied responsibility of the carnage, but IGP Mohammed Adamu in a statement through the Force Public Relations Officer, CP Frank MBA, heaped the blame on the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
