Kate Henshaw, a Nollywood actress, has slammed Rotimi Oyekanmi, the media aide to Prof Mahmood Yakubu, the chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), as reported by Vanguard.
Trouble started after the rescheduling of the Governorship and State House of Assembly by electoral commission. In reaction, a Twitter user chastised the electoral body, INEC for given out information at odd hours and wondered if the administrator of the Independent National Electoral Commission, tweets from the club. Kate Henshaw reacted to the tweet by saying that the best thieves tweet at such hours.
Rotimi Oyekanmi dissatisfied with the responsed of Henshaw, confronted the actress about her comment, saying that she should know about the conduct of elections and violence after acting in a film about the electoral process.
He replied: “One would expect a person like you to be circumspect before making remarks on sensitive matters. You featured in a movie on electoral process and violence. Have you ever sat down to conduct an election?”
The actress reply back with her response: “I am respecting you because you are older than me. Just stop speaking rubbish! For how long will you keep making excuses for incompetence? You are a beneficiary of the fame.”
