Former governor of Ekiti state, Peter Ayodele Fayose through some series of tweets on social media app, has condemned the recent probe into the activities of Niger Delta Development Commission, (NDDC).
The former governor expressed his thought on how corrupt this present administration are through his twitter handle @GovAyoFayose;
"Isn't it now clear for all to see that this APC govt of Buhari is a family of corruption? Just like Magu Gate and others before it, the looting of NDDC under the control of Senator Godswill Akpabio has again made a mess of their self-professed fight against corruption".
He further added that, "And like I have maintained, the only thing being done with so called fight against corruption is to prosecute opposition figures.
Rogues all over the world, the moment they decamp to APC, they will be accorded the prime of place in their government. We only hope that like others that have happened in this govt, this will not be swept under the carpet. They should not make it the usual family affairs. Nigerians want to see its end.
Fayose also demanded for investigation and prosecution of Akpabio and others if found culpable.
Many Nigerians as usual quickly jump on him to remind him that corruption at NDDC did not start in 2020, but rather started since the inception of the body by PDP government. Some quickly remembered him that Akpabio was once a member of PDP and that he should remember that Akpabio and co are his friends and loyal comrades back in the days of PDP rule.
Below are screen shot of some of the reactions to his comment.
What do you think about Fayose's comment, do you think it is proper and ideal for people to abuse their leaders.
