The presidency has replied the governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki after he said that the federal government of Nigeria printed sixty billion naira (N60,000,000,000) in March to support allocation to states.
The minister of Finance, Zainab Ahmed Shamsuna debunked the news as lacking fact. According to the minister, the claim by the Edo State Governor that the Federal Government of Nigeria printed money to distribute Federation Account Allocation Committee is very sad, because it is not a fact.
She added that what they distributed at the FAAC was revenue generated by NNPC, FIRS, Custom etc.
