The governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, has thanked the governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, for standing with the decision of the G-5 governors to frustrate Atiku Abubakar's bid to become the president of Nigeria.
Nyesom Wike stated that any member of the G-5 governors who failed to stand firm with the decision of the group not to support the presidential candidate of PDP has nothing to offer.
Nyesom Wike disclosed that he is happy that Seyi Makinde was part of those persons who stood their ground and made sure that power came to the south by working for the All Progressives Congress.
Nyesom Wike went on to say that the outcome of the 2023 presidential election has made Nigerians to know that as soon as the south completes its term in office, power will go back to the north. Nyesom Wike went on to say that rotation between the south and the north does not need to be in the Constitution for it to be observed by Nigerians.
