The issue of insecurity in the country has become a terrible thing that everyone is concerned about. According to many security analysts, they are of the opinion that the country has never experienced such level of insecurity since Nigeria gained independence in 1960.
The situation of security in the country is that back such that some criminal herdsmen kidnap people, rape, and even kills people after collecting millions of Naira as ransom.
Recently, the case of the killer herdsmen took another dimension after after the several warnings from different states in the South West and they failed to take yield to the warning. There was a clash that broke out between the herdsmen and the residents of some parts of Ogun State, Ondo State and Oyo State.
After, an in-depth view on the clash the Governor of Ogun State submitted a report to the President on Friday and the President recommended the report to the other governors in the region to adopt.
Hence the Governors of the states in the region except Lagos State came together to discuss the issue of insecurity in their states.
According to the Governor of Oyo State, "This afternoon, we held a closed-door security meeting with South West Governors Kayode Fayemi, Dapo AbiodunMFR, Rotimi Akeredolu and Gboyega Oyetola, the DG SSS, the traditional rulers from our region and the heads of security agencies in Oyo State."
