Buhari takes Tinubu round his office
President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday afternoon, conducted the incoming President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, round his own office building and other affiliated offices, including the Executive Council Chamber, Tea Room, the Press Gallery, and the State House Banquet Hall.
This was disclosed in a statement by Garba Shehu, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, on Friday.
According to the statement, Tinubu took all explanations, interacted freely with the President and acknowledged State House officials as they went around. They also spoke at personal levels.
Responding to questions from a television reporter following the tour, which took place soon after their Juma’at prayer at the State House Mosque, the President-elect said he prayed to God to give him strength, wisdom and good health to run the affairs of the nation.
FG unveils Nigeria Air aircraft
The Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika has finally unveiled Nigeria Air aircraft.
The Boeing 737 aircraft with registration ET-APL was unveiled by Sirika at the Nigeria Air Operations control centre of the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja on Friday.
According to the Minister, a demonstration flight would commence soon as part of the procedure to commence operations fully.
He also noted that more aircraft are expected to arrive until the airline reaches the 35-aircraft mark in the next five years.
Sirika also said no law stops the ministry or anybody from bringing developmental growth to the country.
Court Affirms Abure As LP Chairman

A State High Court sitting in Edo on Friday dismissed the notice of suspension issued against the embattled National Chairman of the Labour Party, Julius Abure, by some party members at the ward level.
The judge, Justice Emmanuel Aihamoje, on Friday, threw out the case for lacking merit.
Diezani Slams N100bn Libel Suit Against AGF, EFCC

A former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Alison-Madueke, has filed a libel suit against the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission and the Attorney-General of the Federation.
In the suit marked CV/6273/2023, the former petroleum boss is accusing the first and second defendants – the EFCC and the AGF – of writing and publishing “false and defamatory reports about her of being a corrupt, dishonest…degenerate, decadent public officer.”
In a writ of summons filed at the Federal High court, Abuja on May 26, 2023, through her team of lawyers led by Mike Ozekhome, SAN, Madueke said her integrity and character which are of “paramount importance to the success of her political endeavours…” has been wantonly smeared as a result of the publications.
