According to residents of the community. Umuebele has not less than 50 oil wells being drilled by SPDC, the gas plant that supplies gas to Adam has station is located in Umuebele,but unfortunately the community does not have any good road nor regular power supply
Residents are pleading with the state and local government to come to their rescue as the only road they have has been completely cut off from the rest of the State, oyigbo express to shell location not motorable anymore,the main Umuebele road from Imo River to Ikwerengwo is a no-go zone .the section from Eleme junction to Igbo etche is cut off and residents are suffering greatly
Few days ago there was a planned protest about the state of roads especially at this rainy season but the protest was stalled by the LGA chairman as he has turned a blind eye to suffering of the people...
