Security Expert Sends Message To Buhari Over Deborah's Death

A security expert known as Mr Dennis Amachree on Saturday urged President Buhari to declare religious intolerance and fanaticism as pandemics required to be expeditiously eradicated from the country.

Amachree (A former Assistant Director of DSS) told the News Agency of Nigeria in Lagos that he regarded the alleged lynching of Miss Deborah Samuel in Sokoto as a by-product of religious intolerance and act of fanaticism.

APC leader and a presidential aspirant (Ahmed Bola Tinubu) has declared that he is physically and mentally fit to govern Nigeria and take it to the promised land if given the mandate.

While addressing party stalwarts and delegates at Government House in Minna, the aspirant also declared that he has the brain more than any of the other contestants, pointing out that his numerous achievements as past governor of Lagos State are enough to sell his candidature.

My Experience Places Me Above Other Aspirants-Saraki.

The Former Senate President (Bukola Saraki) on Friday disclosed that he is more experienced than other presidential aspirants in PDP.

Saraki who spoke in Owerri while addressing the state chapter of the PDP ahead of the presidential primary of PDP revealed that he was the right man for the country’s top job.

He equally said that his antecedents as a technocrat and ex-governor of Kwara State and former Senate President had positioned him as the best person to fly the flag of the PDP for the 2023 presidential election.

Malami Drops Governorship Bid.

The Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice (Abubakar Malami) has dropped his ambition of contesting the governorship of Kebbi State.

However, in the place of that, the politician has opted to keep his current job as the nations’s chief law officer.

Malami confirmed this information to Vanguard on Saturday morning. Malami said he has indeed given up on the governorship race for now but did not give reasons for the change of mind.

Amaechi Inaugurates Boards Of NPA, NITT And Others.

The Minister of Transportation (Rotimi Amaechi) has inaugurated the governing boards of parastatals under the Federal Ministry of Transportation with the aim to restructure and reposition them to contribute to a robust and transparent economy.

While inaugurating the boards in Abuja, Amaechi equally charged them to work in line with the policy directives of the President Buhari's government aimed at assisting the parastatals achieve their mandates.
