Recently, Agitations are mounting for Power Shift to the Southern Region in 2023. Southerners believe that by then, the North would have held on to power for Eight years. Therefore, the Next President should emerge from the South. On the other hand, Majority of Northerners have kicked against power shift saying it is not back up by the Consistution.

However, a Former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Ghali Na'abba have shed more light on the reasons why the Northern Region are opposed to Power Shift. Speaking during an interview on Daily Trust TV, the Kano State-born Politician revealed three Reasons why the North won't support Zoning in 2023

According to Punch News, Na'abba noted that the idea of many people that Presidency must shift to another region is not a welcome development because a lot of Northerners feel they did not benefit from the Administration of President Muhammadu Buhari.
They believe they have the numerical strength to elect another person in 2023
It is in the public domain that the Northern Region has the huge voting strength compared to the Southern Region. It's a known fact that politics is a game of numbers. Thus, They have the voting strength to elect another President of Northern Extraction in 2023.
