Former Presidential Aspirant in Nigeria and a well known Fulaniman, Adamu Garba has a send a friendly message to Ndigbo in Nigeria. This message is coming from Garba a day after Owerri Correctional Centre was attacked and Ex IGP Adamu saying that it was IPOB that carried it out. According to the statement he made available on his official and verified Twitter handle, He told Ndigbo that they are not IPOB but Nigerians. He urged Igbos to stay from IPOB members who he described as terrorists and continue to good citizens of Nigeria. He went further to remind Igbos that Nigeria has been there for them and will always love you. He asked Igbos to work with Nigeria, build her and stay safe. It could be recalled that Owerri Correctional Centre was attacked by unknown gunmen yesterday. Even the Nigerian Police Headquarters, Imo State Command was also attacked. The IGP has maintained that the attack was carried out IPOB members who he said are building armoury to actualize Biafra. Since 2016, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of IPOB has been fighting for the break away of Igbos from Nigeria. He wants the Federal Government to conduct a referendum for Igbos to decide if they want to leave Nigeria or stay. Some Igbos who think that they are being marginalised are gradually buying into the idea of breaking away from Nigeria as the solution. However Adamu Garba thinks otherwise. He believes that Nigeria loves Nigeria and has been their for them. Some Nigerians who reacted to his statement had the following to say on Twitter.
