The People's Democratic Party (PDP) again recorded huge success in the rescheduled Chairmanship Election held in Zango Kataf Local Government of Area of Kaduna State on Saturday. Announcing the Results on Sunday, the Returning Officer, Prof. Nuhu Garba said the PDP Candidate, Francis Sani Zimbo scored 28,771 Votes to defeat his main challenger, John Hassan of the APC who polled 19,509 Votes.

Elections took place in some Local Governments in the State on the 5th of September, 2021, while it was rescheduled in others due to Security Challenges. The opposition party also won Nine out of the Eleven Councillorship Positions while the All Progressives Congress (APC) clinched the remaining two seats.

It will be recalled that the PDP had earlier won the Chairmanship Positions in Kajuru and Kaura Local Government Areas of the State during the Local Government Polls held on the 25th of September, 2021.
