No doubt, one of the most prominent members of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) that are currently been considered to bear the presidential flag of the party in the 2023 General Elections is, surely, the former vice president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.
Although, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar is a popular, viable and formidable politician but his political doggedness may need to be supported by a strong presidential running mate, to ensure better performance of the opposition party in the 2023 General Elections.
Considerably, there are three prominent southern politicians, from whom the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) can pick one, that can be paired with Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, if he is nominated as the presidential candidate of the party in 2023.
One, the political doggedness of Rivers State Governor Ezenwo Nyesom Wike could not be under estimated. Governor Ezenwo Nyesom Wike is politically strong, agile, versatile and formidable to give Alhaji Atiku Abubakar a solid backing, if he is nominated as the presidential running mate to Alhaji Atiku Abubakar in 2023 under the platform of the opposition party, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Secondly, the political ruggedness of former Governor of Ekiti State, Peter Ayodele Fayose, could not be over emphasized. Peter Ayodele Fayose has been in active politics for years and the wealth of experience he has accumulated may be considered as an, added, advantage to influence the performance of Peoples Democratic PArty in the 2023 General Elections.
