Donald Trump who is the 45th American President, was impeached by the House yesterday due to the role he played that led to the invasion of the Capitol on the 6th of January. The House of Representatives charged him with “incitement to insurrection” for his role in stirring up a mob of supporters that stormed the Capitol last week.
Nancy Pelosi, House Speaker
The House voted 232 to 197 on Wednesday in favour of his impeachment .Ten members from the Republican party and all the Democratic members of the house voted for his impeachment.
Reacting to the impeachment, Femi Fani Kayode said the Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi has done her worse, but it will have no meaningful impact on Trump because the matter ends there and will not go to the Senate.
