"I Can't Wait To Work With You" Buhari Tells Soludo, Implying That Politics Isn't A Dirty Game

The Anambra state gubernatorial election has come and gone, and Professor Chukwuma Soludo of the All Progressive Grand Alliance(APGA) emerged victorious at the poll. The possibility of the election holding was in doubt as a result of the security situation in the state, but at the end of it all, everything went smoothly.

President Muhammadu Buhari proved to Nigerians that he is not a partisan politician but a man for all by congratulating the governor-elect, Professor Chukwuma Soludo. While commending the security operatives for a job well done, he made it clear that he can not wait to work with Soludo as he tackles insecurity in Anambra state.

The statement made by President Muhammadu Buhari debunks the claim that politics is a dirty game or a do-or-die affair. There is no permanent enemy or permanent friend in politics, don't get carried away by the way these politicians trade words.

The sooner we understand that fighting as a result of an electoral campaign is nonsensical, the better for us. We should not allow the elite to deceive us with their mind games, you shouldn't die fighting a political war. These feuds are imaginary and that's why we see these politicians wine and dine during a wedding party irrespective of their party differences.

President Muhammadu Buhari didn't say anything about the All Progressive Congress challenging the Anambra gubernatorial election result in court. What he was after is working with Chukwuma Soludo to see that Nigeria gets better. Let's not forget that the goal remains to build a nation where peace and justice reign. GOD BLESS THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA.
