It is no longer new and we all know that a new Inspector General of Police (IGP), Incumbent Usman Alkali Baba, was elected about some hours ago from the Northern part of the country, by President Muhammadu Buhari. The election prompted reactions from a influential group from the Eastern part of the country, Ohanaeze as the group criticize the President over the election of the new IGP from North.
More so, a Senator from the Northern part of the country, Senator Shehu Sani has taken to his Twitter handle to react to the group's criticsm. He claimed that this group didn't react nor did anything when the Surveyor General of the Federation was appointed last year from the south west.
He tweeted saying, “Surveyor General of the Federation was appointed last year from the South West— Arewa and Ohanaeze refused to protest or even object."
