1. CAN Speaks Against Insecurity, Advises FG
The Christian Association of Nigeria has spoken about the current security crisis in the country and has also advised the Federal Government on what to do to ensure the protection of Nigerians.
According to the CAN president, Rev. Samson Ayokunle, the Federal Government shouldn't hesitate to seek the help of any foreign country that has the capability to ensure the protection of Nigerians against insurgency and banditry.
He said that the President, Muhammadu Buhari, should know that the country is desperately in need of help and he's supposed to reach out to great countries like Israel, United States, and other powerful countries to help tackle the security crisis in the country.
The CAN president noted that the union is worried because no one is safe anymore in the country, Christians are regularly being persecuted and killed by the bandits.
Rev. Ayokunle, has on several occasions spoken against the insecurity in the country and this time he's appealing to the government to seek the help of strong foreign countries to ensure the protection of Nigerians.
2. Northern Elders Shun Stakeholders Over Herdsmen Killing,
The northern elders under the Umbrella of Coalition for Peace and Development has berated the stakeholders in the region over the crimes committed by the Fulani Herdsmen while, restating their support for President Muhammadu Buhari and the All Progressive Congress.
They are also begging Nigerians to be calm and patient with the president as he's working tirelessly to resolve the security crisis in the country.
The Northern elders also shunned the stakeholders in the region for keeping silence in the face of an unforgivable crimes committed by the Fulani Herdsmen.
The Northern Elders Coalition also commended the Muslim cleric, Abubakar Gumi, for taking bold steps towards ensuring peace and security in the Northern region.
