Sa'idu Afaka, the official driver of President Muhammadu Buhari, is dead

Following a long illness, Sa'idu Afaka died at the State House Clinic on today being tuesday.

President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed his condolences to Afaka's relatives, a Master Warrant Officer who was killed in the line of duty.

The President expressed his condolences to the government and people of Kaduna State in a statement released by his spokesman, Garba Shehu.

Buhari described the late Afaka as an honest, competent, and dependable man who took his job seriously.

He remembered the soldier picking up a bag containing a significant amount of foreign currency and turning it over to the National Hajj Commission while on pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia in 2016.

The Saudi and Nigerian governments praised Afaka for their behavior.

Buhari prayed to Allah Almighty to "bless the souls of the dead with an exalted position in the heavens."

The Nigerian leader, President Muhammad Buhari also expressed his condolences to the family and friends.
