A Winner has emerged in the Ondo State All Progressives Congress (APC) indirect primary elections, held in the Dome, Akure Ondo State.
After almost 12 hours of voting, sorting and counting, the incumbent Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has clicked the ticket for the upcoming October elections.
Earlier today, some governorship aspirants, Ife Oyedele, Segun Abraham and John Odimayo had stepped down to support Governor Rotimi Akeredolu.
The mode of primary adopted by the APC had generated a lot of controversies as majority of the 12 aspirants preferred direct primary while the incumbent Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu had earlier said he would be ready for any mode of primary either direct or indirect.
However one of the Aspirants, Isaac Kekemeke had earlier said the primary committee led by the Kogi State Governor Yayaha Bello was not fair to many of the governorship aspirants.
What's your take on this indirect primaries and Governor Bello heading the committee? Was it favourable for the aspirants and was it free and fair?
