2 Reasons Why APGA May Win The Anambra Governorship Election

Anambra state will be the focus of public debate in November as the state prepares to elect a new governor that will succeed Governor Willie Obiano. After a victorious campaign with the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), the governor's term has reached a final conclusion with the state.

However, the party are not ready to relent in their struggle to remain in power. So, they will be ready to do everything possible to win the much anticipated election. The party’s candidate stated that they would do everything possible to retain the trust Anambra people have for the party. This is because he thinks the people still want them in after all they have done for the state over the years.

But the election will not be like the previous one as things may change this time with the preparations and readiness of the two main political parties in the country ahead of the polls. Apart from that, the mandate of the people remains uncheck since they will be deciding who runs the state and who does not.

However, let’s check out two reasons why APGA may reclaim power in the southeast state.

The election terrain of the country has always favored the ruling party in any election, and Anambra state has also experienced this in the past. So, whoever holds the mantle of the leadership has the greatest advantage over others in almost every election in Nigeria.

APC rules at the center while APGA control the state. In that case, the party that is closer to the people is expected to win the election because they understand everything about the state and its people.

The All Progressive Grand Alliance only rules one state in the country, and they won’t be that careless to allow any other political party to take over the state from them. So, expect a more intense contest because this is the number one reason why they may retain power in November.

I hope these points I have raised make sense. If they do not, you may explain your reasons in the comment section below this post.
