The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) released a statement to give update on Covid-19 situation in Nigeria.
595 new cases was confirmed on the Thursday 16th July 2020, bringing the total confirmed cases to 34,854.
Over 200 recoveries was recorded on Thursday.
5 more souls was lost to covid 19 on Thursday also.
Below is the statement released by NCDC via Twitter;
595 new cases of Covid-19 Nigeria;
It is business as usual in Lagos state, but Ondo sudden increase in new cases is alarming.
Below is the breakdown of Covid-19 cases in each state of the country;
- Kogi and Taraba is free from coronavirus in their states
- Zamfara has gone 58 days without a new case of Covid-19
- Ondo overtakes over 10 states in the past few days, due to the high daily increase recorded in the state
COVID-19 does not spread on its own; if people keep moving around, the virus will keep on moving with them
