The Edo State governor has already been asked by five political parties , in order to investigate the conduct of the elections, before the election tribunal.
Godwin Obaseki was deemed to have been excluded as an alternative platformen from the APC governmental contest during the Edo State governorship election due to alleged forged certificates presented.
Mr Edobor Williams brought a case against Obaseki and his deputy, Philip Shaibu, not to be pleased with the APC and one of its members.

Today the case was opened by a high federal court in Abuja.
Here is what you need to know today about the case.
On Obaseki and his deputy, Philip Shaibu, this is a two different suit.
The complainant asks Godwin Obaseki and Philip Shaibu for a forgery and perjury certificate to be disqualified.
The case was expected to be heard quickly.
Chief Akin Okujinmi SAN is the president of the APC, while Ken Mozia is the leader of the PDP.
The Court will hear and rule for 180 days.
The court held an accelerated hearing and a call by APC on 16, 17 and 18 November.
On 25 and 26 November, the PDP is scheduled to call its witnesses.
The Court has also scheduled a hearing for 30 Nov and 1 December 2020 by the APC against Philip Shaibu and an appeal for the witnesses on 8 and 9 December.
The FEARS and HOPES
If Governor Obaseki were proclaimed by INEC as the properly elected Governor and the APC declined to appeal the victory of the Court, one would have assumed that the case had come to an end.
In Bayelsa State, however, the deputy governor was found to be wanting in the development of his certificate under the APC platform. Just that single incident kicked the APC out amid all its labor and sacrifices from entering the promised land.
The question of refusing the case with the wave of the hand would be suicidal, as long as there is precedent.
The Bayelsa case was a one-time case of the nominee for the Deputy Governorship, and Edo 's case is more complicated than DOUBLE.
