IPOB (Indigeneous People Of Biafra) members have caused a lot of tension and instability within the South-East region because of their agitations for Biafra. They have wrongly advised residents in Southeast region not to participate in the 2023 general elections in Nigeria.
Recently, some politicians were allegedly attacked by ESN (Eastern Security Network) members during their political meeting in Enugu state. However, Ohanaeze Ndigbo condemned this attack that was allegedly carried by ESN (A military arm of IPOB).

Nevertheless, the next election that will be conducted in the Southeast region is the gubernatorial election in Anambra State. The election is scheduled to hold on 6th November 2021. A lot of politicians and leaders in Anambra state are scared that the election might be affected by the activities of IPOB and ESN members.
Recently, Ifeanyi Ubah (The candidate of the Young Progressives Party in the forthcoming Anambra State Governorship Election) disclosed that there will be trouble if IPOB (Indigenous People of Biafra) members insist that the governorship election in Anambra State won’t hold on 6th November.

Ifeanyi Ubah made this statement on Monday during an interview with "BBC Pidgin".

Nevertheless, I believe that IPOB members cannot stop Anambra governorship election from holding because of these 2 reasons.
The Federal And State Government Will Ensure That There Will Be Adequate Security During The Election Period.
The activities of IPOB members cannot affect the governorship election in Anambra state because security officers will ensure that IPOB or ESN members will not disturb or prevent people from voting during the election.

Security officers will be deployed to various INEC centers and polling units within Anambra state. So, it will be impossible for IPOB and ESN members to prevent people from participating during the election period in Anambra state.
IPOB Members Should Know That They Don't Have Legal Right To Stop The Governorship Election Or Prevent People From Voting In Anambra State.
According to the constitution of Nigeria, it's only INEC (Independent National Electoral Commission) and other legal associations that have the right to postpone or cancel elections within the country.

Therefore, IPOB and ESN members cannot stop the governorship election in Anambra state because they are not recognized by the constitution of Nigeria.
