Yesterday the 12th of April the president personal assistant on news media took to his verified Twitter page to seek for forgiveness in anticipation of the year's Ramadan.
Ahmed Bashir disclosed that it is the practice of the prophet of Allah to always seek forgiveness from people who think they have offended someone. He tweeted, 'It is part of the Sunnah to ask for forgiveness from anyone before the commencement of the holy month of Ramadan. Please i beg you to forgive me if I have wronged you in anyway, knowingly and or unknowingly. As we wait for an announcement from the Sultan, Ramadan Kareem to you all.'
Though, many people countered his claims and made it clear that it is not the practice if the prophet in any way.
This tweet seeking forgiveness immediately caused reactions on social media as Twitter users blast him. Some claims they have forgiven him but, he should talk to Buhari to do the same. Many claims that what he did is not part of the Sunnah of the prophet and it is not backed by any scholar.
