The top three candidates of the 2023 presidential election did not back down as they arrived at their various polling units to exercise their franchise and cast their votes in the governorship and house of assembly election on Saturday.
The candidates whose names are Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Peter Gregory Obi, and Alhaji Atiku Abubakar seemed not to have relented after a tightly contested battle in the presidential election that led to the emergence of Bola Tinubu as the president-elect.

1. Bola Ahmed Tinubu
The former Governor of Lagos state and President-Elect of the 2023 elections arrived at his polling unit at Alausa, Ikeja Lagos state in the early hours of the election to cast his votes alongside Senator Oluremi Tinubu. He was given a rousing welcome to his polling unit.
2. Atiku Abubakar
Former vice president of Nigeria and runner-up of the 2023 presidential election also participated in the governorship election as he cast his votes in his polling unit in Yola, Adamawa state.
3. Peter Obi
Former Governor of Anambra state and 1st runner-up of the 2023 presidential election arrived at his polling unit in Agulu, Anambra state where he also participated in the election alongside his wife.
